Election Outcome Is Vote of Confidence for LDS Leadership, Drnovsek Says
Portorož, 27 January - While labelling the election outcome "a confirmation of the vote of confidence to the whole LDS leadership and myself", the re-elected LDS President Janez Drnovsek announced Sunday that the office of secretary general, which will from now on be held by Peter Jamnikar, will not be a political office anymore, but rather an office in charge of technical and organisational matters. Drnovsek's favourite for the post was Bogdan Biscak, who, however, failed to secure the support of the majority of LDS delegates.
