Handball: Slovenia Goes Down to Spain, Keeps Hopes Alive
Skövde, 27 January - The Slovene men's national handball side went down to Spain 20:25 (7:11) in its third match of the European Championships, played in Skoevde on Sunday evening. Despite suffering its second straight loss and drawing the remaining match, Slovenia managed to scrape through to the next round of the tournament on a better goal difference. In the next round, Slovenia can expect to play against France, Germany and Yugoslavia.
