Mencinger Refuses SMS Proposal to Run as Presidential Candidate

Ljubljana, 29 January - Following a proposal by the Youth Party (SMS) to become its candidate at the autumn elections, Joze Mencinger, a leading Slovene economist and the incumbent Chancellor of the University of Ljubljana, has said that he does not consider the option of entering the presidential race for the time being, Radio Slovenia reported on Tuesday.
