Slovene Minority in Italy Unveils New Model of Minority Representation

Trieste, 2 February - Representatives of the two umbrella organisations of the Slovene Minority in Italy on Saturday presented a proposal for a new model of minority representation. The proposal envisages a kind of a minority parliament, consisting of members of the civil society or umbrella organisations and elected representatives of the minority. The proposal was unveiled at the end of a two-day introductory forum to a conference of Slovenes in Italy, which wrapped up today in Trieste.
