Trade Unions and Employees of Czech-Owned Paper Factory Protest Restructuring Plans
Krško, 5 February - While the Czech-owned paper factory Vipap Videm Krsko is planning to close down its paper pulp plant in mid 2003 due to environmental reasons, whereupon 300 workers would lose their jobs, Vipap employers and trade union representatives on Monday protested the plan and announced their intention to call upon workers of the Slovene paper industry to stage an all-out strike within a month.
