Van der Linden: EU Needs Slovenia

Ljubljana, 5 February - The EU's financial strategy for enlargement presented last week by the European Commission is adequate despite objections of EU candidate countries and some member states, said the head of the European Commission delegation to Slovenia Eric van der Linden at a lecture delivered at the Ljubljana Law Faculty on Tuesday. Van der Linden believes in the strategy's success, however he allows for a possibility that the EU candidates could influence it to some measure by making valid arguments.
