Austrian Environmentalists Complain Over Lifted Ban on Imports of Slovene Electricity
Vienna, 6 February - The Austrian environmentalist organisation Global 2000 has filed a complaint at the European Commission in Brussels against the Austrian government for lifting the ban on the import of electricity from Slovenia, Slovakia and Hungary. The organisation believes that the measure violates competition rules and leads to the sale of electricity below the price from unreliable power stations, the Austrian press agency APA reported on Wednesday.
