Slovenia's Monthly Inflation at 1.6 Percent in January

Ljubljana, 7 February - Slovenia's monthly inflation was at 1.6 percent in January. Consumer prices went up by 8.4 percent over January 2001, according to the National Statistics Office. The rise of consumer prices in January was the highest since July 1999, due to higher excise duties and VAT.
