Foreigners with Permanent Residence to Be Able to Vote at Local Elections

Ljubljana, 7 February - Amendments to act on local elections were confirmed by the government on Thursday, which would give foreigners with permanent residence in Slovenia full election rights in local elections in Slovenia. The Parliament is expected to discuss the amendments in fast track, as they are a bid to align Slovene legislation with EU standards.
