Italian Slovenes Appeal Decree on Monolingual I.D. Cards

Ljubljana, 9 February - The Slovene Community Party (SSk) appealed at the Friuli Venezia-Giulia provincial administrative court regarding Italian Interior Minister Claudio Scajola decree on Italian I.D. cards on Saturday. The appeal supports mayors of four bilingual municipalities that refused to implement the decree, as now they cannot be prosecuted since the decree has been frozen until 20 February when it is to be discussed by the court.
