Slovenia's Exports Rise 6 Percent in 2001

Ljubljana, 12 February - Slovenia's exports totalled US$ 9.2 billion and its imports amounted to US$ 10.1 billion in 2001, with the trade deficit standing at US$ 892.8 million (91.2-percent export-import coverage), the latest figures from the National Statistical Office indicate. Compared with the year 2000, last year's exports rose by 6 percent, while imports only edged up 0.3 percent.
