Slovene FM Meets CoE's Schwimmer and Afghan Counterpart in Istanbul

Istanbul, 12 February - Slovene Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel met with Secretary General of the Council of Europe (CoE) Walter Schwimmer and Afghan Foreign Minister Abdullah Abdullah on the sidelines of the joint forum of the Islamic Conference Organisation (OIC) and the EU in Istanbul on Tuesday, said the Slovene Foreign Ministry. Talks with Schwimmer focussed on Southeastern Europe, while Abdullah presented the current situation in Afghanistan, stressing that the Afghan population was pleased with the changes brought about by the Bonn agreement.
