Bank of Slovenia Waits With Go-Ahead to SanPaolo IMI's Takeover of Banka Koper
Ljubljana, 13 February - The council of the Bank of Slovenia has not yet come to a final decision on whether to allow Italian bank SanPaolo IMI to acquire a majority stake in Banka Koper, Slovenia's fifth largest bank. Members of the central bank's council examined the SanPaolo IMI's request for the second time on Tuesday, and said that the decision would be made within the given deadline which expires at the beginning of March.
