NLB Makes EUR 54 Million Gross Profit in 2001
Ljubljana, 14 February - Nova Ljubljanska banka (NLB) increased its total assets by 50 percent to SIT 1,384.3 billion (EUR 6.2 billion) in 2001, a year that was marked by the annexation of three regional subsidiary banks and the launch of the bank's privatisation. Slovenia's largest bank assumed a 34-percent share on the Slovene banking market last year, thus strengthening its dominant position, chairman of NLB board Marko Voljc told the press on Thursday.
