Trade Unions Believe Higher Wages Would Boost Motivaton and Productivity

Ljubljana, 14 February - Progress that both the state and employers in the metal industry want to achieve cannot be made without decent wages which would motivate workers, chief negotiator for employees in the metal industry and members of the SKEI trade union of metal workers Bogdan Ivancic said Thursday at a press conference ahead of a final round of negotiations with employers, scheduled on Friday. If negotiations fail, SKEI announced it would stage an all-out strike on 19 February.
