EU and U.S. Addressed Protest Notes Regarding Deposits in Former Slovene Bank

Ljubljana, 21 February - The European Commission, the U.S. State Department and Department of Treasury have been addressed letters that point out Slovenia's alleged violations of banking standards, international regulations and human rights. Bozidar Vukasovic, a self-styled representative of those Croatian, Bosnian and Macedonian citizens who had deposits in a former Slovene bank, told the press on Thursday in Ljubljana that he asked the institutions to press the Slovene government to act in a European way and stop blocking courts and media.
