Gov't Distributes ELES Profits and Introduces Customs on Imported Pork
Ljubljana, 21 February - After the Slovene electricity grid manager Elektro Slovenije (ELES) generated profits of SIT 3.7 billion (EUR 16.6 million) in the year to 15 July 2001, the Slovene government on Thursday tasked Eles to distribute the money among electricity producers and distributors. Moreover, the government decided to limit the growing imports of pork, appointed the negotiating team for talks with trade unions of railway workers, and got acquainted with the progress of constructing new student dormitories.
