Minister Rupel and Latvian Officials Discuss Efforts to Join EU and NATO
Riga, 22 February - As part of his three-nation tour, Slovene Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel stopped in the Latvian capital of Riga on Friday, where he met with his Latvian counterpart Indulis Berzins, President Vaira Vike-Freiberga, Prime Minister Andris Berzins and Speaker of Parliament Janis Straume. The two sides hailed the problem-free bilateral relations, labelling them excellent, and focussed on both countries' bids to join Euro-Atlantic institutions. Minister Rupel began his tour on Wednesday in Poland, and visited Lithuania on Thursday.
