EU Accession to not Affect Slovenia's State Aids Gravely, According to Finance Ministry
Ljubljana, 24 February - Upon EU accession Slovenia will not see many changes in the field of state aids, according to State Undersecretary at the Finance Ministry Lea Jagodic Lekocevic. Slovenia introduced a control mechanism over state aids that equals that of the EU already in 2000, by adopting the act on supervision of state aids. The difference will be only that from EU membership on Slovene state aids are to be reported to the European Commission, explained Lekocevic.
