President Kucan Set to Continue Debates on Candidates for Constitutional Court Judges
Ljubljana, 25 February - Slovene President Milan Kucan on Monday held separate talks with heads of deputy groups in the Slovene Parliament on possible candidates for two posts of Constitutional Court judges, which will be vacant as of 24 May. Parties were almost unanimous in backing Supreme Court judge Marija Krisper-Kramberger, while the second nominee is most likely to be either Constitutional Court deputy secretary general and former MP Miroslav Mozetic or professor at the Ljubljana Faculty of Economics Kreso Puharic. Kucan's office said after the meetings that consultations would continue in the coming days.
