Loncaric Trial Put Off Until End of March

Ljubljana, 26 February - The trial against Loncaric and 11 co-defendants which was to resume at the Ljubljana District Court on Tuesday morning was put off for a month, that is until 26 March. The postponement was opted for after the investigating magistrate has failed to produce written copies of a huge amount of bugging by the set date, namely 26 February. The trial was first suspended on 15 January after the defence demanded that the tapped phone conversations - the main evidence against the defendants - should be transcribed because they could hardly be understood.
