Foreign Minister Rupel Foretells Active Slovene Participation in European Convention

Ljubljana, 26 February - Slovene Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel reiterated on Tuesday his regret over the fact that candidate countries for EU membership will not have thier own representative in the presidency of the European Convention that is to lay the foundations for future institutional reforms of the Union. Rupel, however, expressed hope that this drawback could be offset by powerful arguments and proposals in the debates, which Slovenia plans to attend very actively.
