Slovene N-Plant to be Reconnected to Grid on Wednesday

Krško, 26 February - Detailed examinations have confirmed a suspicion that the fault because of which the Nuclear Power Plant in Krsko, SE Slovenia, was manually stopped early on Monday lies in the broken-down temperature sensor of a bearing in the reactor core cooling pump, the plant said on Tuesday, adding that it expects this largest Slovene power plant to be reconnected to the grid as early as Wednesday. As the plant said, the reported event has no safety significance according to the International Nuclear Event Scale (INES).
