Slovenia and Jordan Export Stability in Their Regions, Says Kucan

Aqaba, 26 February - Slovene President Milan Kucan, who on Tuesday kicked off his three-day official visit to Jordan, the first ever to an Arab state, expressed regret that Slovenia is not present more strongly in the Arab world. Speaking to Slovene journalists after being received with military honours by King of Jordan Abdullah II, the president said that Ljubljana has relatively well-developed political relations with Amman, while he also found some features shared by the two countries. He stressed that Jordan is a stability factor in its region, like Slovenia is a stability factor for SE Europe.
