Minister Rupel Favours an EU That Would Protect Europe's Specific Features

Ljubljana, 27 February - The main problem faced by the EU is management of specific features in a multi-ethnic community which has a tendency for increasing integration. What is vital for Slovenia and all European countries in this context is whether an enlarged EU could be turned into an efficient supra-national organisation which would not annul Europe's main specific features, was said by Slovene Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel when presenting his view on the future of Europe on Wednesday, a day prior to the maiden session of the EU's convention on the future of the EU.
