Bill on Control of State Border Goes Through First Reading in Parliament

Ljubljana, 27 February - The Slovene Parliament on Wednesday went through the first reading of the bill on the control of the state border. The EU-compatible bill sets down the organisation and ways of controlling the state border, police measures inside Slovenia and international police co-operation. Individual provisions, most notably those on internal borders, are to come into force only once Slovenia becomes a full-fledged EU member.
