Slovenia's Foreign Debt Exceeds Foreign Reserves by US$ 979 Million at End of 2001
Ljubljana, 28 February - Slovenia's foreign exchange reserves totaled US$ 5.738 billion at the end of December. Foreign reserves thus expanded by US$ 348 million from a month before and US$ 1.362 billion from 2000, but were still by US$ 979 million lower than the overall foreign debt, which totaled US$ 6.717 billion on the last day of December, according to the latest issue of the Bulletin of the Bank of Slovenia.
