Bank of Slovenia Council Grants SanPaolo IMI 32.9 Percent Voting Rights in Banka Koper
Ljubljana, 1 March - The council of the Bank of Slovenia, which convened on Thursday, announced at a press conference on Friday that it granted the Italian bank SanPaolo IMI voting rights for up to 32.9 percent of Banka Koper shares. The Turin-based bank managed to acquire 47.1 percent of shares in this fifth largest Slovene bank in a takeover bid which expired on 25 February, in addition to the 15 percent it held prior to the bid.
