Slovenia's First Patients' Ombudsman Assumes Office in Maribor

Maribor, 4 March - Slovenia's first patients' ombudsman started her six-year term on Monday, as Magda Zelina was appointed last week to the post by the authorities in the city of Maribor in a bid to inform patients in the region about their rights. This is the only Slovene ombudsman next to the Human Rights Ombudsman, an institution which was introduced in the country in 1994.
