Commission Investigating Petek Case Encounters First Contradictory Statements

Ljubljana, 7 March - The parliamentary commission investigating the background of a brutal attack on journalist Miro Petek was expected to wrap up the preliminary hearings on Thursday, however State Prosecutor General Zdenka Cerar and Slovenj Gradec District State Prosecutor Jelka Stumberger Mlakar gave statements that contradicted information gathered at previous hearings. The commission is therefore expected to question once again assistant director of the Slovene criminal police Marjan Erhatic and police officials from the Korosko region, where the attack took place.
