Union Olimpija Returns From Athens with Second Euroleague Top 16 Defeat

Athens, 7 March - The reigning Slovene basketball champions Union Olimpija suffered their second straight defeat in the Euroleague Top 16 encounter with Panathinaikos on Thursday. The Greek team took the lead in the early stages of the match, which ended 67:85 (13:29, 30:49, 44:67), and never let it go. Olimpija, boasting the second best defence in the regular Euroleague season, thus almost buried the hope of qualifying for the Final Four tournament.
