Indices on LJSE Go Sky-High as Investors Flood the Market

Ljubljana, 9 March - The Ljubljana Stock Exchange saw a turnover of SIT 7.1 billion (EUR 31.7 million) last week, which kicked off rather slowly, but ended with indices surging to all-time highs. Some experts are convinced that small investors are transferring the capital from savings accounts after banks started lowering interest rates, while others believe that investors merely thought it was a good time to buy securities after companies posted overwhelmingly positive 2001 business results over the past two weeks.
