Differences between Successors to Former Yugoslavia Will Not Affect Negotiations

Basel, 12 March - Negotiators from Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, FRY and Macedonia convened in Basel on Tuesday to discuss, under the auspices of the Basel-based BIS, the former federation's guarantees for bank deposits. Negotiators attempted to harmonise the data on the amount of foreign currency deposits on the territory of individual successor states in 1990 and 1991, according to head of the Slovene delegation Rudi Gabrovec, who told STA that differences were not so significant as to affect further negotiations.
