Balance of Payments Current Account Surplus Exceeds US$ 55 Million in January
Ljubljana, 15 March - Slovenia's balance of payments current account surplus amounted to US$ 55.2 million in January, up US$ 3.8 million year-on year, director of financial statistics at the Bank of Slovenia, Janez Fabijan, revealed on Friday. Trade deficit of US$ 21.7 million had a negative impact, he noted, while the surplus in services (US$ 48.6 million), revenues (US$ 20.7 million) and current transfers (US$ 7.5 million) boosted the overall surplus.
