Another Slovene-Hungarian Border Crossing Transformed into International Border Crossing
Ljubljana, 20 March - A Slovene-Hungarian commission in charge of border crossings changed Wednesday the status of the local border crossing of Pince into an international border crossing. Previously used only by Slovene and Hungarian citizens, Pince is now open for all private vehicles around the clock. Moreover, as of 10:00 PM CET today animals and perishables can be transported across the border crossing of Hodos, TV Slovenija, Slovenia's public television network, reported on Wednesday evening. The two decisions come in the wake of a blockade of the main border crossing between the two countries at Dolga vas-Redisc by local Slovene truckers who are protesting changed policies at the border crossing which have in turn caused long delays.
