Dolga vas Border Crossing Still Closed by Protesting Truck Drivers

Ljubljana, 21 March - The protesting truck drivers at the Slovene-Hungarian international border crossing in Dolga vas spent the night quietly in their trucks. A minor incident ocurred only after the protesters heard that transport of live-stock vehicles was to be allowed at the border crossing Hodos, which is normally closed for trucks. After ten vehicles with live stock crossed the border, the protesters drove up their trucks to Hodos and threatened to close it down if trucks are left through. Transport of calves and small stock is still allowed though, the authorities said on Thursday.
