U.S. and Slovene Officials Talk Defence, Focus on NATO

Ljubljana, 21 March - A three-day meeting of a bilateral working group that works in the frame of co-operation between the U.S. and Slovenia was wrapped up Thursday at the Slovene Defence Ministry after having examined Slovene preparations for NATO membership. As part of the visit to Slovenia, the head of the U.S. delegation, Deputy Secretary of Defence Ian Brzezinski, also held seperate discussions with the Slovene defence and foreign ministers, focussing on Slovenia's bid to become a member of NATO.
