Time Left to Lower Inflation Running Out, Central Bank Chief Warns

Portorož, 22 March - Joining the EU under unsuitable conditions would prove to be a very negative starting point for Slovenia which would be very difficult to correct later on, the Governor of Slovenia's central bank Mitja Gaspari stressed Friday while addressing the final day of the 34th conference on modern methods in accountancy, finances and auditing that is taking place in Portoroz. Gaspari was especially concerned about Slovenia's inflation rate and reminded that time to fix this problem is running out.
