Anton Rous Elected New DeSUS President

Postojna, 23 March - Anton Rous was elected a new president of the Democratic Party of Pensioners (DeSUS), the smallest coalition partner, which gathered in the southwestern city of Postojna for a two-day congress. Securing 92 votes of the delegates, Rous, a retired lawyer, beat his rival Stjepan Saubert, who garnered 84 votes. The congress - which began on Friday and is to wind up later today - also elected three vice-presidents, namely lawmaker Ivan Kebric, Marija Gjerkes Dugonik and Dragica Nenadic.
