EU Steel Measures Could Prove Disastrous for Slovene Steel Industry

Ljubljana, 27 March - Measures to protect the EU steel market adopted by the European Commission on Wednesday could have "disastrous consequences" for the largest Slovene steel producer Acroni Jesenice, said Acroni manager Vasilij Preseren, adding that even the privatisation of companies that are part of the Slovene Steelworks group could be jeopardised, as is is difficult to find a buyer for companies that have no customers for their products.
