Prosecution Drops Charges of Attempted Rape against Police Director General

Ljubljana, 28 March - The Novo Mesto State Prosecutor's Office dropped charges against Director General of the Slovene police Marko Pogorevc, who was accused last December of attempted rape that he had allegedly committed in 1992. Head of the Novo Mesto office Bojan Avbar said that there was no probable cause that Pogorevc actually committed the crime, his office said on Thursday.
