Sales on Retail Market Increase in Last Quarter of 2001

Ljubljana, 29 March - Sales on the Slovene retail market increased by 5.5 percent to SIT 453.9 billion/EUR 2 billion in the last quarter of 2001 from the third quarter of the same year, figures released on Friday by Slovenia's Statistical Office indicate. Moreover, sales on the wholesale market in the same comparative period increased by 14.2 percent to SIT 492.8 billion/EUR 2.2 billion.
