LISBON - Slovene President Milan Kucan is to attend a two-day seminar entitled A Political Model for a 21st Century Europe upon the invitation of Portuguese President Jorge Sampaio.

LJUBLJANA - A retired U.S. senator William V. Roth is to visit Slovenia upon the invitation of Slovene Speaker of Parliament Borut Pahor. Roth is to meet Slovene Defence Minister Anton Grizold.

LJUBLJANA - A conference on the information society is to be held by the Information Society Ministry and the European Commission. The two-day ministerial meeting is to be attended by representatives of EU member states, candidate countries and Southeastern Europe.
