Social Partners Agree in Principle How to Adjust Wages to Inflation

Ljubljana, 4 June - An agreement in principle has been reached by all three social partners on adjustment of wages to inflation on 1 August, both this year and in 2003. Subsequently, the base wages are to increase by 4.2 percent this August, to be followed by an additional 2.5-percent adjustment on 1 August 2003, STA was told by Labour Minister Vlado Dimovski late on Monday, after a meeting between trade unions, employers and government officials.
