Slovenia's Most Popular Radio Station Celebrates With a Boom

Ljubljana, 4 June - The second channel of Slovenia's national radio station is celebrating its 30th anniversary in these days. On 16 June 1972 the first show was aired on Val 202 (Wave 202), hosted by legendary Slovene radio host Vili Vodopivec. Val 202, which got its name after the wavelength on which it was transmitted in 1972, revolutionised radio shows as it was the first radio station to start live broadcasts and also the first to introduce chat and phone-in shows in Slovenia.
