Midfielder Zahovic Strikes Back after Quarrel with Manager Katanec

Seogwipo, 5 June - Whoever hoped that the bitter argument between Slovene midfielder Zlatko Zahovic and team manager Srecko Katanec ended today with the announcement that Katanec would leave his post after the World Cup, was wrong. Zahovic told his version of the events that have led to Katanec's announced resignation, differing substantially from what Katanec said earlier in the day, but concluded by saying that the manager should keep his post.
