Government and Central Bank Officials to Discuss Ways of Fighting Inflation

Ljubljana, 6 June - In a bid to cut inflation, Slovene Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek is holding a working meeting with Bank of Slovenia Governor Mitja Gaspari on Thursday afternoon. The meeting, at which Economics Minister Tea Petrin is also expected, is to focus on further steps to be taken by the government and the central bank in order to reduce inflation, currently a major macroeconomic problem of the Slovene economy.
