STA Coverage on Friday, 7 June

Ljubljana, 7 June - The STA English service will cover the following events on Friday, 7 June:

MUNICH - Slovene Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek is to attend the first day of the two-day economic conference which is to focus on the look of the European Union following enlargement. Drnovsek is due to participate in the afternoon debate on the challenges that are being faced in the light of EU enlargement, while he is also scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Bavarian premier and the candidate for the post of German chancellor at the upcoming elections, Edmund Stoiber. (the forum is to begin at 2:00 P.M., while the meeting with the Stoiber is scheduled to take place at around 7:00 P.M.)

BRUSSELS - The defence ministers from NATO member states and the partner countries are to hold their regular half-yearly meeting. Slovene Defence Minister Anton Grizold will be among the participants of the meeting. Grizold is also expected to meet with U.S. Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld. (Grizold is to give a statement to the press at around 3:30 P.M.)

BRUSSELS - Slovene Agriculture Minister Franci But is to be on the second and final day of his working visit to Brussels, where he is to meet with the representatives of the European Commission's directorate generals for agriculture and enlargement. (Minister But is to hold a briefing for the Slovene press at around 12:30 P.M.)
