Slovene MPs Urge for Parliaments to be Guardian of National and EU's Interests

Brussels, 7 June - The Convention on the future of the EU, which is drafting guidelines for reforms of the Union, called Friday for a greater role of national parliaments in Europe's architecture. Slovene MPs in the Convention, Lojze Peterle and Slavko Gaber, pointed out the urgency for a greater role of national parliaments not only as guardians of national interests but also as advocates of Europe's interests.
