Slovene Defence Minister Attends Meeting with Rumsfeld

Brussels, 7 June - NATO is still the main instrument to ensure international security, so its enlargement and new capacities are of key importance, said U.S. Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld at Friday's meeting with defence ministers from NATO candidate countries, including Slovenia's Anton Grizold. The meeting was an introduction to a regular semi-annual meeting of 19 NATO defence ministers with counterparts from 27 NATO partner states within the Euroatlantic Partnership Council (EAPC), which focused on EAPC's role in fighting terrorism.
